"I simply could not put this book down. The main character, Brooklyn, goes through a metamorphosis. She starts out in a cocoon and emerges from it a beautiful butterfly. You really have to cheer for Brooklyn as she manages the obstacles that get in her way and learns from her mistakes as she tries to navigate her way through this new chapter in her life and coming to grips with her diagnosis and learning she can LIVE with her disease. It’s good to see her break free from her thoughts and fears, take chances and start truly living life.
I liked that the characters were described well, and attractive to the reader, conversations normal and well-done. The subject matter was deep at times but there was balance to the book as well, bit of humor, a bit of romance, just a perfect novel! Can’t wait to read more."
